With over 40 years of experience behind the lens, I find myself following the same pattern of style. That's perfectly fine. It's also great to find new styles and techniques to explore. By and large, I don't want people in my images (unless it's a family vacation!). I loosely label myself as an object photographer. Sometimes, I hone in on the details, such as an elaborate door handle. What I am challenging myself is to be more aware of not only the singular object, but its larger composition. In post production, it's easy to crop in, but you can't crop outward.
Which brings me to my new page. There's a wonderful subcategory of photography known as 'street photography' which can be busy urban streets that highlights cars and buildings, or empty alleyways, or candid photos of individuals outdoors. At its root, street photography is, fundamentally, photojournalism.
Here's a collection of my photos that, with varying degrees, are street-based images. Some of these are duplicates from other categories.
Enjoy!
